Join us for SDC’s first ever “Drop-In” Dance in support of the Calgary Drop-In Centre. What is a “Drop-In” Dance, you ask? It is not only your chance to, as always, dance the night away to your favourite music, but also an opportunity for you to make a difference for some of Calgary’s less fortunate.

Don’t know what to do with your used clothes? Bought the wrong kind of toothpaste? Got ugly running shoes for Christmas? Someone might need them. Bring them to the SCD Dance for a 1$ discount on admission and they will be given to someone who needs them. See below for an up-to-date list of MOST required items!

WHEN: Satruday, May 12th, 2012
WHERE: Mount Pleasant Community Hall

SCHEDULE:
8:00 – 8:45 pm – TWO STEP Worskshop with Barry
8:45 – 10:30 pm- WEST COAST, BALLROOM, COUNTRY dancing
10 pm – SAMBA performance
10:30 – 2:00 am – Finish the night of with SALSA, BACHATA, MERENGUE, etc.

COST: $5 for Members and $7 for Non-Members
$1 OFF if you bring a Water Bottle

DJ KRUZ – A brief biography:
DJ Kruz joins us from Toronto. He has been involved in the latin scene for more than 15 years and still is one of the most sought after DJs by club owners and promoters. DJ kruz has spun at almost every club in Toronto that offers a Latin flavour. He has opened for international Acts such as El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico, Grupo Niche, Orquesta Adolescentes, Lisandro meza, and many others. His passion for latin music, especially salsa and bachata, is truly apparent in his mixes. DJ Kruz will make sure you have a fantastic night of dancing!

Lets all get together and stay warm this holiday season with some romantic ballroom, classy west coast swing and some hot salsa all night long! Together we can dance the night away and ring in the Christmas season with the final SDC dance party of the fall semester.

WHAT
A celebration of the Christmas holiday season with a festive semi-formal dance party with enough style to get everyone on their feet and dancing the cold away. Free food and great friends be prepared for a night to remember! Dress code is semi-formal for the evening.
